This Shoulder and Upper Back Exercise (known as band pull-aparts) is an isolation exercise designed to target specific muscle groups in your shoulders and upper back. It’s a great exercise to help with shoulder and posterior chain strength. 

How-To Steps:

  1. Stand with the arms in front of you and hold a band between your hands. Move the arms horizontally backward with the palms facing down while squeezing the shoulder blades together.
  2. Keep the chin neutral during the exercise and always do this exercise with a controlled movement. 
  3. Return to the starting position and repeat.
