Banded Row Exercise by Physiotherapist Mehak Sandhu
The Banded Row Exercise is a great exercise to strengthen the muscles of the upper back, shoulders, and arms while improving posture. This exercise is especially helpful for people with rounded shoulders, neck tension, prolonged desk work, or anyone looking to improve shoulder stability and pulling strength.
How to do this exercise:
- Set Up:
- Secure a resistance band at chest height (can put band into doors, tie onto stairs, etc.).
- Hold one end of the band in each hand with your arms straight and core engaged.
- Pull:
- Pull the band towards your rib cage by squeezing your shoulder blades together.
- Keep your elbows close to your sides.
- Return:
- Slowly extend your arms back to the starting position with control.
- Maintain good posture throughout the movement.
*Repeat for 10–15 repetitions for 2–3 sets.

*Never do an exercise that causes you pain*
