A Career at SOS

We are currently hiring for various positions throughout the SOS organization, including our new site opening in Guelph in April of 2024!!

Do you want to learn and grow as a professional in the healthcare field and do it with a group that wants to get better and support each other in the process? Then this is the place for you. Where other clinics talk about mentoring, we live by it. Both in a team setting and individually, we give you the skills (hands-on, case management, patient engagement, etc.) to create a loyal following of patients who also WANT to get better! Looking for leadership opportunities and ways to progress in your professional career and one day partner in your own clinic? We can show you the way. Interested? Let’s have a call, sit down for a pint, kick a few ideas around, and see if there’s a fit! Email us at careers@sosphysiotherapy.ca

STAFF TESTIMONIALS

CLINICIANS

“Where do I start? Starting as a full-time Physiotherapist, to moving into a Clinical Director, and ultimately an owner at our Belmont location, I can’t say enough about the SOS team. The ongoing support, mentorship, and guidance has truly been invaluable. It’s a great feeling when you wake up and look forward to getting to work to not only see your patients but also be around your colleagues. We all share a similar goal in delivering the highest standard of care possible and the patients can see that.”

Stephen Hogan
Physiotherapist/Partner
Belmont Location

“My journey has come full circle with S.O.S. Physiotherapy and I could not be more proud to be part of this team. I started as a volunteer when I was a Kinesiology student and after getting into my Master’s of Physiotherapy program I quickly realized that this is the kind of clinic I wanted to work for. The culture, support and collaboration amongst staff is second to none and there is never any hesitation to go the extra mile to help a fellow employee. I truly believe that this is one the core reasons that S.O.S. patients do so well!”

Ryan Marrin
Registered Physiotherapist
Northfield Location

“Working with SOS Physiotherapy has been an amazing opportunity to collaborate with various practitioners who have the same passion for giving the best care possible to their clients. With a fun, upbeat, positive and growth-inspiring atmosphere, it helps me work towards being the best Registered Massage Therapist I can be!”

SUPPORT STAFF

“I’ve been with the SOS Physiotherapy family since 2016 and it’s been a blessing ever since! Throughout my time here, everyone has been supportive of my growth and have given me the flexibility in hours to raise my girls mostly from home. As a patient experience coordinator, I felt just as much a part of the team and valuable to the company as the actual physiotherapists. Now, as the marketing coordinator, I get an inside look at running things, and what I love most is that the patient’s well-being always comes first.”

Ann Goerz
Marketing Coordinator/PEC
Elmira Location

“One of the things I love about SOS Physiotherapy is the upbeat atmosphere of each clinic. The SOS team loves to welcome all their patients with open arms into an exciting and fun environment so they feel comfortable and encouraged to reach their rehabilitation goals. SOS Physiotherapy strives to make all patients and staff feel like part of the SOS family from the moment they walk in the doors. That’s one of the many things that makes working here so enjoyable!”

STUDENTS

“Hello everyone! My name is Lindsay and I am a second-year Physiotherapy Assistant student at Conestoga College. I completed my second 2-week placement at SOS Physiotherapy in Elmira alongside Kelsie. My experience at the clinic was AMAZING! It exposed me to many different conditions that led to great learning opportunities that I will now be able to utilize in my future practice as a PTA. I also really enjoyed getting to know all the lovely patients at the Elmira clinic. Coming from a small town myself, it is a great feeling getting to know a few of the patients that were in frequently. Thank you to everyone who has made this experience a memorable one!”

Lindsay Harmer
Physiotherapist Assistant Student
Conestoga College

“I feel very fortunate to have had my second clinical placement at SOS Elmira. Coming into the office every day was something I looked forward to thanks to Ryan and the rest of the team who were all so invested in my experience. It was an honour to be supported and challenged by you. I appreciate all the patients who allowed me to be a part of their care; it was a pleasure to have had the opportunity to work with so many wonderful people. I was able to see a wide variety of conditions and learn a multitude of treatment techniques that I will continue to refine and plan to use as a Physiotherapist in the future.

Although I was only there for 7 weeks, I learned so much at SOS and had so much fun while doing it.”

Amanda Vertesi
Physiotherapy Student
University of Western Ontario

Volunteer

“If you’re a student looking for a positive, welcoming, and fun environment where you can learn and build on your existing knowledge/skills, SOS Physiotherapy is the clinic for you! I have been volunteering with SOS for 8 months now, and each shift continues to be a highlight of my week. Since day 1 as a volunteer, the SOS team welcomed me into a positive learning environment and made me feel a part of their team! As a fourth year Kinesiology student, having the opportunity to shadow therapists during one-on-one patient treatments has contributed tremendously to my theoretical and practical knowledge within the field. Each physiotherapist at SOS has a gift for what they do. I also want to shout out all the patients at SOS for being open to having students join their sessions. It truly is a win-win situation for both of us as we each learn about your individual condition and treatment! I’m very happy to be taking on a new role at SOS as a patient experience coordinator and I hope to continue making meaningful contributions to this community!”
