Rotator Cuff Exercise External Rotation

Rotator Cuff Exercise

Rotator Cuff Exercise-External Rotation by Coulton Roe

This can be a great exercise to build rotator cuff strength to help with shoulder pain. The rotator cuff is a group of muscles surrounding the shoulder that are integral in shoulder movement. Strengthening these muscles is key to help with pain and mobility. Make sure this does not aggravate the shoulder though!

How-To Steps:

  1. Start with good posture! Tall spine, shoulders slightly up and slightly back. Do not start in a slouched position!
  2. Pull the elastic with your one arm, out toward the side. Maintain that good posture, and don’t worry about pulling too far.
  3. Return to the starting position. Repeat 10 times, and perform 2 to 3 sets to feel a good workout in that shoulder.
