Single Leg Calf Raise by Physiotherapist Mehak Sandhu
The Single Leg Calf Raise Exercise strengthens the calf muscles, which play an important role in walking, running, jumping, and maintaining ankle stability. This exercise is useful for improving single-leg strength and endurance during rehabilitation or as part of a general strengthening routine for active individuals.
How to do this exercise:
- Stand upright on one leg, using a wall or countertop for balance if needed. Keep your knee straight and your weight through the ball of your foot.
- Slowly lift your heel as high as you can, rising onto your toes while keeping your ankle straight and your body upright.
- Pause briefly at the top, then slowly lower your heel back to the starting position. Complete your repetitions before switching legs.

*Never do an exercise that causes you pain*
