Posture Stretch
I love this posture stretch to open up the chest after a long day of working at the computer! If you find yourself aching after sitting for long periods too, give this stretch a try. It’s easy and works wonders for you upper back and chest.
How-To Steps:
- Lie on a foam roller with your knees bent and feet flat on the ground with the foam roller along your spine.
- Place your arms by your side with your palms facing up.
- Slowly bring your arms up so they are close to 90 degrees away from your body or until you feel a stretch across the front of your chest. Hold the stretch position. If you are looking for an even deeper stretch, try to bend your elbows to 90 degrees and let gravity bring your wrists toward the floor until you feel a stretch across the front of the chest and shoulders.
Pro tip: Try to relax and breathe, holding the stretch for 20-30 seconds in each position.
