Combo Weight Exercise by Physiotherapist Evan Lukasik
This week’s exercise is a combination movement that strengthens both your upper and lower body, great in a circuit style workout. As always, if this exercise causes any pain or if you have further questions consult with your nearest SOS physiotherapist!
How-To Steps:
- Start by standing upright with your feet just wider than shoulder width holding a weight by your waist with your arms straight
- Go into a squat position by bending your knees and hips to lower your hips towards the ground
- As you stand up from the squat position row the weight up to shoulder level by flaring your elbows out wide and and bringing your wrists towards your chin. Return to starting position and repeat for the recommended reps and sets.
*Reps: 6-8 Sets: 3-4 Intensity: 5-6/10 effort level (use a weight that gets you to this intensity) Frequency: 3x/week

*Never do an exercise that causes you pain*
