Shoulder Elevation Exercise by Coulton Roe
The shoulder elevation exercise is super funcional. This is a great exercise to build strength in your rotator cuff/shoulder. It should not be performed if it is causing, or worsening shoulder pain (Consult your physiotherapist for further help!)
How-To Steps:
- Standing in a nice tall posture, make sure your shoulder blade is in a neutral-set position (We do not want the shoulder blade dumping down and forward)
- Have the band in one hand, thumb facing forward. Use the foot that is on the same side to step on the band.
- Maintain good posture, and begin to elevate the arm, sending your thumb up towards the ceiling.
- ou may go as high as you comfortably can, but make sure you keep good form! The shoulder may NOT dump forward. (see examples of proper and improper forms below)

*Never do an exercise that causes you pain*
