Seated Hamstring Stretch by Ami Patel
The Seated Hamstring Stretch is one of my favourite stretches because it’s a great stretching exercise in relieving tension in the lower back and it’s easy to incorporate in my daily activities. If you have tight hamstrings or lower back muscles, give this a try throughout your day! It will only take you a couple minutes in your day but can make a big difference. Scroll down for a video demonstration that includes the many benefits this stretch has to offer!
How to Steps:
- Sit on the edge of a chair or bed with one leg straight out while the other knee stays bent.
- Keep your back straight and lean forward until you feel a stretch behind your thigh.
- Complete on other leg
*Hold the stretch for 20-30s, 2-3x per leg

*Never do an exercise that causes you pain*
