Hip Opening with Leg Lift Exercise by Physiotherapist Amanda Calford
This Leg Lift exercise is great for hip or knee pain, particularly if you find you feel tight in your inner thigh.
- Lying on your side with your head supported on your arm, move your top leg in front of you
- Activating your core, lift your bottom leg straight up away from the floor.
Slowly lower your leg back down and repeat.
*Do NOT force the end range of motion as this is NOT a stretch. Move fluidly back and forth between the motions with your breath.
*This should not be a painful movement.
