Hip and Low Back Stetch

Hip and Low Back Stretch by Physiotherapist Resident Amanda Calford

This is a great stretch for the front of your hips and low back. It’s especially great if you’ve been sitting a while and it’s super easy!

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder width apart, stepping one foot slightly more forward than the other and put your hands on your hips.
  2. Slowly tilt your pelvis upward a bit using your core and glute muscles.
  3. Shift your weight straight forward and a little bit up, opening up the front of your hip for a good stretch.

*This should not be a painful movement.
