Nerve Pain Exercise

Nerve Pain Exercise by Physiotherapist Gordon Restivo

This exercise is to help with nerve related pain, numbness, or tingling in your arm/hand. It does so by helping your nerves move more freely.

This exercise should not be painful or aggravating for your symptoms. Only push as far as your comfortably can into the movement.

  1. Sit tall with your affected arm raised at your side, elbow at 90o, and palm facing the ceiling
  2. Straighten your arm slowly, pointing your fingers down to the floor.
  3. Simultaneously tilt your head to the same side.
  4. Slowly return to the starting position and repeat

*Perform this 1-3 times daily for 10-20 repetitions, as tolerated.
