Seated Knee Taps with Twist Core Exercise by Anna Belay
This is a great core exercise to improve core stability, control, and coordination. It can be done at a desk and all you need is a chair!
How-To Steps:
- Sit on a chair with the feet flat on the floor and the spine off the backrest.
- Place the hands behind the ears so that the elbows are pointing away from you.
- As you twist to one side, lift the bent knee of that side, and use the opposite elbow to tap.
Cues:
- Ensure the core is engaged throughout the whole movement by curving the pelvis inwards to reduce lower back extension.
- Keep an upright posture and look straight ahead with the chin tucked in.
- Make sure the shoulders are down and back to reduce shoulder shrugging.
