Alicia Cole
(BSc (Hon), MScPT)
Alicia completed her Masters of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Toronto, and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from The University of Waterloo. Alicia began with SOS as a volunteer in 2021!
Alicia was born and raised in Waterloo, and is very excited to be working with the community! She became interested in being a Physiotherapist in her first year of university, when she volunteered with KidsAbility to teach swimming lessons. In this role she was able to learn how to use exercise to help children reach their functional goals in a fun and engaging way. Alicia prefers a hands-on approach to treatment, often using manual therapy, patient education, and personalized exercise programs. She utilizes a client-centered method and builds treatment plans around patients’ goals. Alicia has had the opportunity to work with a variety of populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, post-surgical patients, and chronic pain patients.
In her free time, Alicia enjoys being outside and hanging out with her friends and family. Her favourite activities include swimming, playing tennis, painting, walking with her dogs, and reading.
