Alana Streicher
(BKin (Hon), MPT)
Alana completed her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at McMaster University and holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree with a minor in psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University. Alana continues her education in the areas of traditional acupuncture, dry needling, advanced manual therapy, and NDT.
Alana was born and raised near Elmira and is excited to provide physiotherapy services to her community with the SOS team.
She will take time to listen to your story and focus on treating the root cause of your injury using a combination of manual therapy and movement. You’ll be involved every step of the way, so your rehabilitation plan will feel collaborative and tailored to you.
Alana has experience delivering group exercise for adults with neurological conditions, providing 1:1 recreational support for neurodivergent teenagers and children, and supporting adults with dementia. These experiences have shown her that a good life isn’t about the absence of pain and disability but about living fully in each moment while finding ways to navigate and overcome challenges.
Outside of the clinic Alana enjoys creating through baking, crafting, and gardening. You can find her spending time outdoors with family and friends.
