
Adam Hanton-Fong
(MScPT, BSc(Kin))
Born and raised in Waterloo, Adam is passionate about promoting health and well-being in his community. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo and earned his Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University in Kingston. Adam is a physiotherapist at our SOS Northfield clinic in Waterloo.
Adam’s passion in healthcare began with his background in personal training and instructing exercise classes at various gyms in the region. This experience instilled in him a deep appreciation for the role that functional exercises play in enhancing the lives of those dealing with acute or chronic conditions.
His treatment philosophy revolves around combining a hands-on therapeutic approach with personalized exercise programs. Adam is continually enhancing his skills, with certifications in acupuncture and dry needling, and he’s currently working towards his advanced manual therapy levels. He is dedicated to helping his patients achieve their health and well-being goals, enabling them to participate fully in the activities that they love.
Outside of his professional life, Adam enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. He’s an avid fitness enthusiast, and you can often find him strength training or participating in a wide range of sports, including hockey, soccer, golf and skiing. In his free time, he’s a photography enthusiast who enjoys snapping photos with his camera and drone, especially during cottage weekends, hikes and his travels.
