Calf Exercise-Two Up, One Down by Coulton Roe

This is a great calf exercise. It builds strength not only in your calf, but also in your achilles. The Two Up, One Down is great for people dealing with heel pain too, and for building general leg strength!

*This may not be the exercise for you if you are not confident with your balance, or if it makes your pain worse.

*Use your hands on a rail or a wall to balance as needed.

How-To Steps:

  1. Starting on a step with your heels lowered, push both heels up into the air.
  2. Once elevated, lift your one leg up to have all of your pressure through the target leg, and slowly lower back down.
  3. – Make sure you take at least 3 seconds to lower down.
  4.  Place the other foot back down, and repeat. Push up on two, lower down on one.
Starting with heels down, This demonstrates steps 1 and 2 of the Calf Exercise: Two Up, One Down
