Inner Thigh Stretch

The Side Lunge Stretch (Inner Thigh Stretch) is one of my favourite stretches! It’s great for groin pain, and is a perfect stretch for anyone with hip or knee arthritis! Scroll to the bottom for a video demonstration!

Step 1:

Stand tall with the legs a comfortable distance apart.  Keep the knees straight, and you may even feel a gentle stretch in this first position.

Step 2:

Keeping one leg straight, sit your butt BACK and sink into a bend in the other leg.  Gently rest the arms on your thigh for support as needed.  You should feel a gentle pull all along the inside of the straight leg

Then repeat on the other side:

*NOTE: The further back you sit your bum into the stretch, the deeper it will feel (lean the head forward, sit the bum BACK!)

*Never do an exercise that causes you pain*
