Mehakpreet Sandhu

(HBSc, MSc(PT))

Mehak completed her Master of Science in Physiotherapy degree from McMaster University, and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences from McMaster. She began her career with SOS Physiotherapy as a Physiotherapist Resident in September 2025.

Mehak is greatly passionate about promoting the benefits of rehabilitation and active living in all age groups. Her interest in physiotherapy was sparked during her second year of university while working at the Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre in the Developmental Pediatrics and Rehabilitation unit, where she gained first-hand experience in the life-changing impact of physical therapy on children and their families.
Clinically, Mehak takes a client-centered and multi-modal approach, combining manual therapy, individualized exercise prescription, and education to help her clients return to the activities that matter most to them. She has a strong interest in orthopedic and sports-related injuries, with particular focus on the shoulder, wrist, knee, and hip, and is dedicated to continuously advancing her knowledge in these areas through ongoing professional development.

Beyond her clinical practice, Mehak values building strong therapeutic relationships, fostering a supportive environment, and encouraging her clients to actively participate in their recovery.

In her spare time, Mehak enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants and cafés (especially those with strawberry matcha), and staying active through running and strength training. She also cherishes time with her family and friends, who keep her grounded and inspired.
