Upper Back Wall Angel Exercise by Physiotherapist Coulton Roe
This is a great exercise for upper back mobility, and postural strength. The Wall Angel is easy to do almost anywhere and really helps with a stiff back or poor posture.
- Stand with your back against a wall, we want to maintain 3 points of contact (your head, your shoulder blades, and your hips).
- Maintain a nice tall stance, and try to get your arms to your side against the wall with your elbows bent to 90 degrees.
- Slide those arms up the wall, without allowing anything to lift off! It’s not about how far you move!!
Reminders: Don’t let the lower back extend off the wall*.
*This should not be a painful movement.

*Never do an exercise that causes you pain*
