Nimmy Thomas, BScPT, Pelvic Health Physiotherapist

Nimmy graduated from Mahatma Gandhi University, India in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. She has 15 years of experience in various fields of physiotherapy including orthopedics, neurology, geriatrics, pediatrics and pelvic health. Her current focus of clinical practice is Pelvic Health Physiotherapy.

Nimmy is part of a group of medical professionals who trained in pelvic floor evaluation and treatment. She has completed advanced certification in treating bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction in the male and female population. She is an experienced practitioner and has worked extensively with a wide variety of conditions including pelvic girdle pain, chronic pain syndrome, pelvic floor muscle weakness, pre/post natal concerns, bladder/bowel incontinence, chronic constipation, menstrual concerns, premature ejaculation, vaginismus, chronic prostatitis, post-surgical incontinence, and organ prolapse, to name a few.

Nimmy’s approach to treatment is to assess and treat the origin of dysfunction to prevent re-occurrence. Each treatment plan is tailored to the patient’s individual needs. Nimmy’s focus in pelvic health rehabilitation, her strong foundation in orthopedics and her holistic approach, all result in a comprehensive treatment plan.

Besides physiotherapy, Nimmy enjoys cooking, reading, travelling, hiking and spending time with her husband and their daughter.
