Welcome Sabrina Adair and Melissa Heidebrecht!

SOS Physiotherapy would like to welcome Occupational Therapist’s Sabrina Adair and Melissa Heidebrecht to our Belmont location.

Sabrina has her Post Professional Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Dalhousie University as well as her Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy from the State University of New York at Buffalo.  Sabrina has worked in Occupational Therapy since 2003. She has worked in a variety of settings with her main focus on working with patients with upper extremity dysfunction due to injury, repetitive strain or chronic conditions. She has also worked with children in the school setting with fine motor challenges, as part of a family health team and in the community setting.

Sabrina is happily married to her husband Mike and they have four wonderful and active children. Sabrina enjoys spending time with her kids playing outside and having fun.

Melissa has her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto as well as her Bachelor of Science, Honours Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo. Melissa has worked in Occupational Therapy since 2005, mostly in hospital settings with clients who sustained traumatic hand injuries, as well as various chronic hand conditions. She has over 10 years of experience in custom splinting of the upper extremity as well as rehabilitation of acute injuries. Melissa has always enjoyed working one-on-one with clients to achieve their rehabilitative goals.

Over the last 10 years, Melissa has also provided clinical fieldwork supervision to several University of Toronto Occupational Therapy students as well as lab demonstration in the Anatomy Labs at the University of Toronto.

Melissa is happily married to her husband Steve and is the full time mom of two busy little boys. She enjoys the practice of Pilates, Hot Yoga, walking and gardening as well as bouncing on the trampoline with her children.
